How CC Advisors collects, uses, stores and discloses your personal information.

CC Advisors is committed to protecting the privacy of the individuals and businesses for whom it acts.

This Privacy Policy explains how CC Advisors Pty Ltd ("CC Advisors", "we", "us") collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information. CC Advisors is an Australian registered migration practice (MARN 1805690 and MARN 1791268) and is bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and the Migration Agents Code of Conduct.

The information we collect

We collect the personal information that is reasonably necessary to provide migration advice and services, including:

  • Identity and contact details — your name, email address and telephone number.
  • Matter information — details of your circumstances, immigration history and objectives, and any information necessary to assess your matter and provide advice.
  • Business information — where a business engages us in relation to sponsoring an employee, the business name and related details.
  • Payment information — payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not collect or store full payment card details.
  • Website information — limited technical information necessary for the website to function securely.

How we collect it

We collect personal information directly from you — through our website booking form, consultations and correspondence — and from your authorised representatives. Where it is relevant to your matter and you have authorised us to do so, we may also collect information from third parties such as government departments.

Why we collect and use it

We use personal information to:

  • provide migration advice and representation;
  • schedule and conduct consultations;
  • register and manage your matter in our secure client-management system;
  • process payment for consultations and services;
  • communicate with you about your matter; and
  • meet our professional, legal and record-keeping obligations.

Disclosure to third parties

We disclose personal information only as necessary to provide our services, including to:

  • Microsoft (Microsoft Bookings and Microsoft 365) — for appointment scheduling and communications;
  • Stripe — to process consultation and service payments;
  • ARCHER — our client-management and secure client-portal provider, used to manage your matter and exchange documents;
  • the Department of Home Affairs and other government bodies — where necessary to progress your matter and with your authority; and
  • professional advisers and service providers bound by confidentiality.

We do not sell personal information.

Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers (including Microsoft and Stripe) may store or process information on servers located outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure that these providers handle personal information in a manner consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Payment security

Card payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered directly with Stripe through its secure payment interface and are not stored on our servers.

Cookies and our website

Our website uses only the cookies and third-party resources necessary for it to function, including web fonts and the Stripe payment library. We do not use the website to build advertising profiles.

How we protect your information

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, including through secure systems and access controls.

How long we keep it

We retain client records for as long as is necessary to provide our services and to meet our obligations under the Migration Agents Code of Conduct and other applicable laws. The Code of Conduct generally requires client records to be retained for at least seven years.

Accessing and correcting your information

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by contacting us at help@ccadvisors.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable period and may need to verify your identity before providing access.
