ReadCoordinated representation for sponsor and employee.
We act for both Australian employers and sponsored workers. Whether the engagement involves first-time Standard Business Sponsorship or nomination under subclass 482 or 186, we manage sponsorship, nomination and visa as a single coordinated workflow, including salary benchmarking, occupation evidence and ongoing compliance.
- Standard Business Sponsorship (SBS) and renewals
- Accredited Sponsor applications
- Skills in Demand (subclass 482) — all streams
- Employer Nomination Scheme (subclass 186) — Direct Entry and TRT
- Salary benchmarking and occupation evidence
- Sponsor obligations advice and section 140K applications
Permanent residency for qualified professionals.
Skilled migration is the most direct pathway to permanent residency for those with in-demand skills. We advise on occupation list selection, prepare accurate Expression of Interest lodgements, pursue State or Territory nomination where appropriate, and assemble visa applications supported by the evidence the Department requires.
- Skilled Independent (subclass 189) — points-tested
- Skilled Nominated (subclass 190) — state/territory nomination
- Skilled Work Regional — Provisional (491) and Permanent (191)
- Skills assessments through the relevant assessing authority
- Points calculation, EOI ranking strategy and state submissions
Family reunification, properly evidenced.
Partner and family visa refusals are most often attributable to insufficient evidence. We understand the standards applied to demonstrating a genuine and continuing relationship, advise on realistic cost and processing expectations for parent visa streams, and ensure child and remaining-relative matters are positioned correctly from the outset.
- Partner visas (subclass 820/801 onshore, 309/100 offshore)
- Prospective Marriage (subclass 300)
- Contributory Parent (143/864) and Parent (103/804) visas
- Aged Parent and Aged Dependent Relative streams
- Child (101/802) and Dependent Child (445) visas
- Remaining Relative and Carer visas
Innovation, citizenship, student and graduate matters.
Specialist work outside the primary skilled and family streams.
Innovation
National Innovation visa (subclass 858) — direct permanent residency for individuals with internationally recognised exceptional achievement in a target sector. We assess eligibility, identify nominators and prepare the supporting evidence.
Citizenship
Australian citizenship by conferral or descent, evidence of citizenship, and resumption of citizenship matters. Residence calculations and character documentation prepared with care.
Student & Graduate
Student (subclass 500) and Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) visas, accepted where the chosen course supports a defensible long-term migration pathway.
Refusals, cancellations and matters under review.
A significant proportion of our work involves remedial matters: visas refused by the Department, notices of intention to cancel, character (PIC 4001) issues, and complex onshore lodgement strategy. We assess the merits of each matter, advise on review prospects, and conduct the representation where instructed.
Where the appropriate forum is a court rather than the Administrative Review Tribunal, we will refer the matter to specialist immigration counsel and continue to coordinate the underlying migration strategy.
- Visa refusals — assessment of merits and review options
- Notices of Intention to Consider Cancellation (NOICC)
- Visa cancellations and revocation requests
- Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) — merits review proceedings
- Character matters (PIC 4001) and waiver submissions
- Section 48 advice and onshore lodgement strategy
- Bridging visa strategy, work rights and travel facility
- Ministerial intervention requests under sections 351 and 417
- Referrals to specialist counsel for Federal Circuit and Family Court matters
